Jordan Johnson might be the Nebraska football team’s top wide receiver target in the entire 2020 class.

That makes sense considering he’s considered the number two receiver in the state of Missouri and the 17th ranked receiver in the entire class according to 247Sports. The Huskers got in early on Johnson as he actually received an offer from Mike Riley’s crew.

Scott Frost and his bunch recently re-upped on the offer, making it clear they wanted the Desmet High player in Lincoln quite badly. The problem is that Nebraska is far from the only team that wants his services.

Despite the fact that he can’t even sign with a team until the winter of 2019 (roughly 18 months), Johnson has compiled 19 offers already. Number 19 came on Monday afternoon when Kansas State was the latest Power 5 team to jump into the fray.

While the talented wide receiver is getting plenty of attention from the heartland, he’s also getting notice from both coasts. Alabama, Auburn and Florida have all offered.

So has Oregon, Penn State, Ohio State and Wisconsin. Should the Nebraska football team manage to steal the kid, it looks like Notre Dame is going to be the darkhorse.

The Fighting Irish has been the team the recruiting services believe he’s leaning to. That could be good news for the Cornhuskers as they don’t have the same kind of recent success as the Crimson Tide.
