Nebraska football players react to departure of teammate
Nebraska football fullback Ben Miles announced he was leaving the program on Wednesday night and his teammates had some things to say.
Nebraska football player Ben Miles announced he was planning on transferring Wednesday evening. The announcement was hardly a surprise given the current state of affairs with the Cornhuskers.
Miles came to Lincoln to play fullback in Mike Riley’s pro-style offense. Not only was Miles not really a fit for Scott Frost’s spread offense, there literally was not a spot for him.
The new offense will run almost exclusively without a fullback in the formation. That little tidbit, by the way is something Husker fans need to come to grips with.
