Nebraska football coaches are hitting familiar territory for their latest offer.

Wide receiver TJ Jones received an offer from the Nebraska football team on Thursday. The Florida receiver is now up to 29 offers from some of the best teams in the country.

Despite being just a three-star prospect according to 247Sports, it appears that teams offering him scholarships are seeing something pretty special.

The Huskers are far from the only Power 5 team going after him. Illinois, Maryland, Michigan State and Purdue are among the Big Ten teams pursuing Jones.

Interestingly enough, one of the schools that is going after the Florida player is the school where the current Huskers staff used to coach. It shouldn’t surprise anyone that UCF is going after the Lake City player but it does make for an interesting narrative.

The recruiting of Jones continues what has been a very busy spring. The Cornhuskers’ staff has been going after players that are among the best of the entire class, while also doling out offers to some players that might be considered diamonds in the rough.

It seems like the Huskers could be one of the top schools on Jones’ list. At the moment it doesn’t appear that he’s necessarily leaning towards one team or another.

He’s also been getting recruited by some of the current Husker players who would like to see him end up in Lincoln. The offer so close to Saturday means he’s not likely going to be here for the Spring Game but it seems more likely than not that the Nebraska football team is going to be hosting TJ Jones for a visit at some point.
