The Nebraska football team has managed to convince one of the country’s best wide receivers to come see Lincoln later this spring.

Mycah Pittman is going to be visiting the Nebraska football team next month. One of the country’s top wide receiver prospects announced the planned visit on his Twitter account Monday.

The announcement is a big one for the Cornhuskers, who are trying to make sure they are cashing in on spring momentum. This coming Saturday is going to be a massive official visit weekend but it’s hardly the only focus for the coaching staff.

Once they get all their targets into see the Spring Game on April 21, Scott Frost and company are going to try and parlay that with big-time targets coming in the weeks following. It looks like the coaching staff is attempting to build some real momentum as we barrel towards the summer and another quiet period.

Pittman hails from a spot that Husker fans have become familiar with in the last few years. The wide receiver, who is considered the eighth best receiver in the class by 247Sports and 12th best by Rivals is finishing up his high school career at Calabasas.

While the Calibraska movement is a thing of the past, the Husker coaches are apparently loathe to cut all ties to the bridges Mike Riley and his staff have built.

Pittman has said that he plans to be in Lincoln on May 5 and now it’s a safe bet that the Cornhuskers are going to be trying to roll out the red carpet for as many other big visitors as possible that weekend.

Because most schools are going to be looking to finish up the year, it’s possible we’re going to see some other blue-chips book their flights for the capital city. Mycah Pittman is one of the biggest recruits on the Nebraska football board and it’s a very big deal that they’ve managed to secure a visit.
