Nebraska football makes top list for talented running back
The Nebraska football team made the list of top schools for one of the top running backs in the 2020 class.
The Nebraska football team might be focusing on the 2019 recruiting class but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t working hard on the 2020 class. Scott Frost and company have in fact, been working the 2020 class pretty hard.
That is likely why the team just made the cut for Mookie Cooper, one of the best running backs in the 2020 class. Cooper is considered a 4-star prospect according to 247Sports.
Cooper announced the schools that he’s still looking at on Saturday night. While the Cornhuskers made that list, it’s not exactly one that is very well pared down.

Along with Nebraska, Kansas, South Carolina, Texas, Louisville, Penn State, Syracuse, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Kansas State, Missouri, Illinois, Michigan, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Auburn, Purdue, Iowa State and Minnesota all got a mention.

In other words, most of the teams that have offered him have made his list of the schools. Still the Huskers have to be glad that they are still on the running back’s mind.
The Cornhuskers have been working hard to get backs that fit their system. By all accounts, Cooper certainly fits that bill.
There is quite a bit of time before Mookie Cooper is going to have to arrive at a decision. Because he’s with the 2020 class, he won’t be able to sign with anyone until February of 2020.
That leaves over a year and a half before Cooper will need to sign with whatever team he chooses. The Nebraska football team is in the running for Mookie Cooper even if he isn’t really cutting down the teams he might be looking at the moment. We’ll have to wait and see just what the next step for the talented running back from Missouri might do.
