Nebraska football: How the Huskers are performing at the NFL Combine

While there are some Nebraska football fans who wish Tanner Lee had never set foot in Lincoln, he’s someone who is always going to be a Husker. The kid carried himself very well in what was almost an impossible situation from the get go.

While the 2017 season didn’t go even a little bit like Cornhusker fans had hoped, Lee still has a ton of talent in his throwing arm. The downside is that everything Husker fans saw is still there as well.

That means that he’s got a tendency to not throw a particularly solid ball on a consistent basis. Lee has graded out at 5.00. That means he’s got a 50-50 shot to make an NFL roster.

That alone is something Husker fans aren’t used to seeing. Any chance that a former Nebraska quarterback might be able to make the NFL is pretty new.

Scouts have talked about Lee’s performance being a bit of a mixed bag. That shouldn’t really surprise anyone either.

One particular line in his scouting report sums up why it’s hard to think he’s going to be a great NFL quarterback. “Oblivious to edge pressure and freezes under duress from interior rush.”
