Ohio State and Wisconsin getting way more love than Nebraska football.

No, it should surprise no one that the Nebraska football team isn’t getting a lot of love yet. Ohio State and Wisconsin were the best teams in the Big Ten a year ago.

There’s very little reason to think that’s going to change anytime soon. When Sporting News was going over their predictions for 2018, the two schools were mentioned a ton.

Among their predictions is that Ohio State is going to learn from the letdown it suffered a year ago against Iowa with the publication saying the matchup between them and Michigan in the final regular season game will determine the Big Ten East. They also believe OSU will control it’s own playoff destiny.

The publication added that Wisconsin is the odds-on favorite to win the Big Ten West (Nebraska’s division) and that they might even get a shot at the national title game this year.

In fact, Sporting News believes that there is a very real chance the National Championship game is going to host two teams from the same conference again. The difference is that the site appears to be laying even money odds that the two teams might both be from the Big Ten.

It doesn’t seem likely the publication thinks either will be the Nebraska football team. The upside is that’s good for the conference as a whole. Never say never.
