The Nebraska football team isn’t playing around when it comes to going after defensive talent.

When it comes to recruiting defensive players in the 2019 class, it appears the Nebraska football team is aiming for the best of the best. Linebacker Nakobe Dean is the latest to receive an offer.

Dean, out of Mississippi, is not only the top player in the entire state, but he’s also the second-ranked player in the entire class according to Rivals.

Dean is also the 47th player in the entire class. The offer to Dean comes just a few days after the Huskers secured an official visit from Owen Pappoe. Pappoe is the third best player in the state of Georgia and the 15th player in the entire Rivals class.

There is very little doubt that the Cornhuskers have their work cut out for them. Dean has taken recent unofficial visits to Auburn, Alabama and Ole Miss according to Land of 10.

He told the publication that the Huskers have not really been on his radar and that he’ll have to learn more about Nebraska now that they are officially in the race.

The good news is there is plenty of time for Scott Frost and his staff to get Dean up to pace on what Lincoln has to offer.

While Nakobe Dean has been taking some unofficial visits, he hasn’t said whether he will be soon taking official visits. It’s a safe bet the Nebraska football team would like to see if he could come visit in April during the Spring Game.
