Nebraska football offensive line target Bryce Benhart has gotten himself another Power 5 offer and this time, its from one of the Huskers’ old nemeses.

Now that recruiting of the 2019 class has officially taken center stage for the Nebraska football team, it’s time to try and bat down rivals when it comes to the school’s favorite targets.

When it comes to offensive lineman Bryce Benhart, the Husker coaching staff are going to have to fight off an old conference rival. Benhart announced on his official Twitter account on Sunday that he had received an offer from the Oklahoma Sooners.

That offer carries both good, and bad news. The good news is that despite the fact that Benhart is just a three-star player according to Rivals, it appears the Huskers were right to get in on him early-ish.

Benhart is an offensive tackle from Lakeville, Minnesota who certainly has the kind of body Cornhusker fans would love to see plowing the road for Scott Frost’s offense. Benhart stands 6-9 and weighs in at 301 pounds.

In other words, the kid is a giant. He’s also not someone that is a stranger to Power 5 offers.

So far, Benhart can boast 12 official offers from FBS schools. Those offers include schools like Michigan, Notre Dame, UCLA, Wisconsin and now Oklahoma.

It appears Minnesota Golden Gophers coaches know this is a kid they need to keep in-state as they have apparently put the full court press on the tackle. It’s still a long way to go, but it doesn’t appear that Oklahoma is going to be the last big-time school to give him an offer.

So far, Bryce Benhart has not made any plans when it comes to whether he might be visiting the Nebraska football program or any other school. The 2018 National Signing Day just wrapped up but the 2019 recruiting cycle is already getting a head of steam.
