Nebraska football recruiting class finishes bounce-back inside Top 25
The Nebraska football team capped a nice bounce-back for the 2018 class by finishing inside the Top 25 rankings after once being 94th.
No, the Nebraska football team didn’t accomplish some kind of historic finish. When it comes to the 2018 recruiting class, the finish is more about how well Scott Frost and company did in a short period of time.
When Mike Riley and his assistants were run out of Lincoln, the recruiting class had gone from having the potential of being one of the better ones in the Big Ten, to being ranked just inside the Top 100.
Frost took over a class that had just eight members and ranked 94th at one point. On Wednesday, he buttoned up a class that was ranked 21st according to Rivals and 22nd according to 247Sports.

That was the most impressive thing about this climb back into the Top 25. Scott Frost and company had to basically completely rebuild the recruiting class from scratch.
The rebuilding job was so good, that they added 16 players in just a couple of months. Those additions have the Cornhuskers with the 3rd best class in the conference according to Rivals.
Only Penn State and Ohio State were better. According to 247Sports, Michigan beat the Huskers but Nebraska was easily the best class of the division.
That class was helped quite a bit by no less than five new additions on signing day. That might be the thing that really sets what Scott Frost and his group managed compared to other head coaches.
It seems as if it’s been a really, really long time since the Cornhuskers have had numerous recruiting battle wins on National Signing Day. This time around, the Nebraska football team hauled in five signing day wins.
Not only is that a great finish to 2018 but it gives Husker fans something to be excited about when it comes to the 2019 recruiting class. It’s never too early to wonder what the Nebraska football team is going to do it top this National Signing day.
