The Nebraska football team has yet another kid they are going to be watching come signing day. John Jackson III has put the Huskers in his top five.

With the signing day coming on Wednesday, it would seem as if the Nebraska football team would be buttoning up its class. It turns out there are at least a few more players they have a chance to add to their class.

John Jackson III announced he had cut down his list to his top five. It will apparently be those five that the touted wide receiver will be picking from on Wednesday.

Along with the Cornhuskers, Jackson named USC, UNLV, Oregon and UCLA. You might be a bit surprised to see UNLV in the group that is all Power 5 schools.

It turns out however, the real school that sticks out is Nebraska. All four other schools are located on the West Coast.

While it’s nice to see the Cornhuskers in the race for Jackson’s school, one has to wonder whether the Huskers are really in the race. Considering that Jackson is looking almost entirely about West Coast schools, it would be quite the coup if Scott Frost and company could get him to the Midwest.

The good news is that Jackson will only be keeping the Nebraska football team and the rest of the country on edge for a few days. The wide receiver, who had indeed gotten a ton of different offers should be picking his school once signing day on February 7 rolls around.
