Omaha Burke standout Chris Hickman has been offered by Wisconsin. The tight end also has an offer from the Nebraska football team and many others.

When Scott Frost arrived in Lincoln and took over the helm of the Nebraska football team, he made one thing clear. Frost wants to make sure all the best in-state players become Huskers.

He’s got some steep competition when it comes to Omaha Burke standout. A member of the 2019 class, Hickman is projected to be the number two player in the state of Nebraska by Rivals.

Even more impressive, Hickman is expected to be the 14th best tight end in the entire class. Knowing that, it’s not hard to understand why there are quite a few Power 5 programs already looking at him.

The latest school to offer is one that pilfered an in-state player from Nebraska in this recruiting cycle. Hickman announced on Thursday night the Wisconsin Badgers had offered.

From the 2018 class, the Badgers signed Lincoln Southeast standout Bryson Williams. They pulled that off despite a late push from Frost and company.

Wisconsin is far from the only team in the Big Ten interested in Hickman. The three-star prospect has offers from Indiana and Minnesota in the B1G.

He’s also been offered by Iowa, Iowa State, Ole Miss and and offer from UCLA is reportedly coming down the pike. The Huskers have also offered, having not followed the mistakes of Mike Riley and company in not offering Williams until it was too late.

At the moment, it would appear Hickman is still the Huskers to lose, but you always have to wonder with this much attention. He may be a 2019 recruit but the Nebraska football team would be well served in continuing to pay plenty of attention to tight end Chris Hickman.
