Nebraska football: Bookie still has the Huskers as an option?
Is the Nebraska football team really an option for Brendan Radley-Hiles? The player better known as Bookie still has them in his top five.
Brendan Radley-Hiles is going to be making what he says is his final choice of schools later Saturday. According to the defensive back most call “Bookie” the Nebraska football team is still in the race.
Bookie recently told Rivals that he will be choosing between five helmets sitting on a table. The Huskers will be represented in that group.
“At the end of the third quarter, I’m the last person to go,” Radley-Hiles told the website. “I’m happy about it. It’s been going on for a long time now. It’s been a bumpy road but it’s here now so we’re good.”

There are plenty of Husker fans that would say he’s contributed to it being a bit of a bumpy road. Bookie was a commit to the Huskers for a while during the summer and early fall.
He later decided to open his commitment back up when the Nebraska season started to go south. It’s clear that when he started hearing the rumors of Mike Riley being fired, he decided to go elsewhere.
Since that time, it hasn’t appeared as though Scott Frost and company have been going hard after Radley-HIles. Is it possible they’ve been a bit under the radar?
Anything is possible, but Bookie has shown more interest to other schools as the fall went along. By most accounts, the Cornhuskers have been left in the dust.
So why is the Big Red N going to be on display this afternoon? Even if he doesn’t pick the Huskers (and he almost certainly won’t) this could be another situation where the team is at least going to be getting some decent press.
While some Nebraska football fans have long since written Brendan Radley-Hiles off, there’s a better than average chance there would be quite a bit of celebrating in Lincoln should Scott Frost be able to pull this rabbit out of his hat.
