Nebraska football coach Troy Walters was visible on Twitter on Christmas after he issued an offer to Arizona wide receiver Solomon Enis.

Christmas day wasn’t a day off for the Nebraska football coaches. Solomon Enis was among a number of recruits who were offered scholarships by the Huskers on December 25.

Enis announced he had received the offer on his official Twitter account and later pointed out the announcement got quite a bit of attention. The Arizona receiver said the post got over 1,000 likes.

He also gained quite a few followers simply by announcing the Huskers were in on the hunt. That hunt is going to be a big one.

Enis has offers from some of the best schools in the country. That includes Penn State and Michigan State in the Big Ten.

247Sports has him ranked as the second-best player in the state of Arizona, as well as the 40th best receiver in the 2018 class. Having said that, it’s not a surprise the Huskers are going to have to beat out the Sun Devils and the Wildcats for their in-state talent as well.

The state of Arizona has brought good luck for the new staff so far. Arizona Western Community College put a brand new wide receiver in Jaron Woodyard and a shiny new running back in Greg Bell under the Huskers’ Christmas tree this year.

Enis, who is 6-4, would be yet another big-bodied wide receiver the Husker staff could use in a whole host of different situations. It seems as though there will be a chance for true freshmen to contribute at the wide receiver position next year.

Solomon Enis is also someone who clearly has some classroom skills. Just a few days ago, he tweeted out he finished the most recent semester with a 4.0 GPA. That has to be considered an added bonus for the Nebraska football team as they target these recruits.
