The Nebraska football team got a bit of a Christmas present when it made the cut for Miles Friday’s top teams.

Miles Friday appears to be a player that the top teams in the country are going to go hard after. The Nebraska football team is among the teams Friday will actually listen to.

On Monday, Friday gave the Huskers and their fans a bit of a Christmas present when he included the Cornhuskers in his cut down list. Because he’s a class of 2020 recruit, there is a long time between this list and signing day, but it shows that the Huskers are getting people’s attention.

On his official twitter account, Friday made it clear that he’s being sought after by the best of the best. Including the Huskers, LSU, Alabama, Clemson, Oregon, UCLA, Ohio State, Miami, South Carolina, Texas and USC have all made the cut.

It should be pointed out, this isn’t a situation where a recruit names a team that hasn’t offered him. Friday holes offers from every school on his cut down list.

It’s hard to imagine that when the 2020 class gets its stars, he won’t be a five-star recruit with those schools. At the moment, 247 Sports thinks the IMG Academy player is an Oregon lean.

Even if that is the case, Frost and company are going to have plenty of time to change his mind. So far, there has been no announcement on when Miles Friday might pair down his list even more.

When he does, it’s a safe bet that the Nebraska football team will be looking make that list as well. They’ll be doing that even if we’re years away from the player being able to set foot on campus.
