The Nebraska football team is waiting on a Messiah … Messiah Swinson.
Nebraska football target Messiah Swinson announced Saturday morning that he was ready to announce what school he was committing to later in the day.
The three-star tight-end has been the target of a full out recruiting war over the last few weeks. Swinson was offered by Scott Frost and company shortly after they landed in Lincoln.
The tight end is also being pursued hard by Missouri. The two former Big 12 and Big 8 opponents had been thought to be the only two schools squaring off for his attention until very recently.

Swinson had been talking about possibly signing early, but it appears a new offer changed the game. On Thursday he announced he had received an offer from Texas A&M.
There is a question as to whether or not that might have been enough to sway the player towards the SEC. The New York-based athlete announced on his official Twitter account that we’re going to find out before too long.
Swinson said he’s going to be announcing his commitment on the local news channel. By later tonight we’ll know whether or not Scott Frost and company have found themselves yet another big-bodied offensive weapon.
I will be committing tonight at 5pm on News 12 Long Island!!!!!!!

While the new Nebraska football staff has had plenty of wins, they can’t win every single fight. The late entry into the ring by Texas A&M looks to be something that shook up the odds. The Huskers were already fighting an uphill battle against Missouri.
Messiah Swinson will announce his decision at 5 PM EST.
