The Nebraska football team continued to upgrade its 2018 recruiting class with Justin McGriff.

Justin McGriff is the 12th signee of the 2018 recruiting class for the Nebraska football team. McGriff had announced earlier this week he wasn’t signing until Friday and he made good in the late morning.

McGriff is yet another big bodied wide receiver who could also play tight end or defensive end. He is also someone Scott Frost and company had been looking at to join the roster at Central Florida until they all became Huskers.

McGriff officially committed to Nebraska 11 days ago. Since then, there hasn’t been much drama and he was expected to officially become a Husker during the early signing period.

The latest signing was yet another in what has been some quick work in attempting to turn the talent base around at Nebraska. The wide receiver corps especially was looking a little thin heading into the 2018 season.

Quite a few of the players Frost and company have been looking at in the last few weeks have been those who could fill the WR spot. The nice thing about the way this coaching staff has been recruiting is that several of the players could be moved to other positions if the situation called for it.

With this being the last day of the early signing period, it appears the Nebraska football 2018 recruiting class is going to be sitting at 12 for a while. It will be interesting to see what Frost and his staff does as we head to the final signing day in February.
