The Nebraska football team could be getting another receiver in Jeshaun Jones on Wednesday.

Jeshaun Jones announced that the Nebraska football team is one of four teams that he is still considering signing his National Letter of Intent with. Whoever Jones signs with will be getting his LOI on Wednesday, December 20, meaning his decision is coming down to the wire.

It’s interesting that the player still has four schools he might choose from, what with the decision just 48-hours away.

The good news is that while all four schools are power five teams, the Huskers aren’t competing against the creme of the crop. Jones has narrowed his list down to Maryland, Nebraska, Iowa State and Pitt.

That is quite an eclectic grouping for the South Fort Myers, Florida athlete who has offers from schools like Florida State, Michigan State, and Tennesee. Earlier this week, Jones announced he was indeed going to be making his pick on December 20.

On Monday afternoon, when he took to Twitter to announce he had narrowed his choice down to four schools, he said that the process has been a lot harder than he thought it would be. That’s likely the sentiment felt by quite a few players who want to not have to worry about recruiting anymore, but are having a hard time making a final choice ahead of Wednesday’s deadline.

Scott Frost and company might have another in besides being the biggest school on his list. The staff recruited the wide receiver when they were all at UCF.

While it doesn’t appear they were able to get him to seal the deal there, the situation is decidedly different this time around. Jeshaun Jones is one of the several players that the Nebraska football program is going to be crossing its fingers and hoping signs with the Huskers on December 20.
