Jimbo Fisher didn’t handle his move particularly well, Scott Frost did better for the Nebraska football team
Texas A&M fired a head coach in Kevin Sumlin that finished 7-5 this year and hired one that was 5-6 when he left FSU. Nebraska football hired a coach that was 12-0.
That isn’t the only reason the Huskers did better than the Aggies in handling their coaching hire. Jimbo Fisher was apparently quite torn over whether or not he was going to leave Tallahassee for College Station.
Days before the move was official, rumors begin swirling that Fisher was indeed leaving. This prompted situations like a fan of the program confronting him while he was doing his radio program, berating him for now showing loyalty to the Seminoles.

Part of the problem wasn’t that Fisher hadn’t decided. It seems as though most people knew where he was going and that he was going.
The problem was he just wasn’t moving on. Eventually, the Seminoles coach did move to Texas A&M.
He apparently did so without really giving his old team much of a heads up. There was even a few FSU players who let it be known they weren’t happy with the way he had told the team.
While there are UCF players disappointed with Scott Frost’s departure, it seems as though most understand the move. The Huskers and Frost get more props because of that.
