The Nebraska football staff got their third commit and second wide receiver in the last two days.
The new Nebraska football coaching staff is on quite a roll. On Sunday, after losing the commitment of wide receiver Joshua Moore, they managed to reverse the bad vibes and get two new commits.
On Monday night, Scott Frost and company got yet another commit. This time, it was from a player that had already pledged to play for the staff before.
Big bodied wide receiver Justin McGriff announced on his official Twitter account that he was officially going to be a Husker. The announcement wasn’t entirely unexpected considering he had decommitted from UCF earlier in the day.

In the announcement explaining his change of heart in the afternoon, he pointed to the entire staff leaving as the main reason. McGriff weighs in at 6-6, and 210 pounds and projects to either play receiver or tight end in the college ranks.
There is also some talk that he might eventually move over the defensive side of the ball. At this point, it appears Frost and company are plenty happy just getting as many talented players as possible.
With the new commit, the Huskers’ 2018 class has grown to 10. That’s quite the happy turnaround considering it was down to seven just about 36 hours ago.
The new Cornhuskers’ coaching staff had quite the weekend full of visitors and they’ve managed to turn those visits into brand new commits so far.

There are a few more targets that were in Lincoln this weekend that Frost and his staff would like to haul in. Now that they’ve gotten themselves a speed receiver and a possession receiver, as well as a defensive back, they’d love to pull in a running back like Greg Bell.
The icing on the cake for the Nebraska football team would be four-star quarterback Adrian Martinez. For now, they’ll be plenty happy to be adding Justin McGriff to the fold.
