Nebraska football got its second commit of the night.
The Nebraska football team has had a very strange Sunday. What seemed to be a very bad day with the decommit of Joshua Moore has turned into a pretty decent one, with two of the first commits of the Scott Frost era.
Perhaps the most interesting thing about the first commits of Frost’s tenure is that they directly replace the last two commits the team lost. CJ Smith was the first good news of Sunday evening.
The four-star defensive back seems to be able to step into the class in the place of Mario Goodrich, who left the class the day before Frost was hired. Sunday night, Jaron Woodyard, a talented wide receiver from Arizona Western C.C. appears to have stepped up and filled in the hole left by Moore.

Woodyard posted good numbers considering his football team had a run-first offense. In 10 games, he led the team in receptions with 36 for 522 yards and six touchdowns.
Woodyard was one of the visitors that came to see the Nebraska football team this weekend. Those visitors were chock full of junior college recruits.
There is at least one more the Huskers are hoping to hear from relatively soon. Woodyard wasn’t the only player that visited from Arizona Western.
That run-first offense was led by talented running back Greg Bell. Bell was also in Lincoln this weekend and appeared to enjoy his visit.

While Bell hasn’t announced where he’s headed for college yet, it seems like this could become a bit of a package deal. Bell was in fact asked whether or not he was going to join his teammate on the Cornhuskers.
For now, at least, Bell is playing it coy. From a Nebraska football perspective, it can’t hurt that Jaron Woodyard is now going to be able to work on his 1,200 rushing yard teammate between now and December 20.
