While commits are dropping off Nebraska football like flies, Joshua Moore is standing tall.

You couldn’t blame Joshua Moore if he was wavering in his commitment to Nebraska football. There have been plenty of other players who have dropped off over the last few months.

It’s almost a foregone conclusion that head coach Mike Riley will be fired this weekend. No one knows if Keith Williams, Moore’s future position coach is going to go with him.

One Husker fan took to Twitter to voice his concern about Moore leaving, while also saying that he thinks it would be very cool if the wide receiver commit decided to stay. Moore saw the tweet and weighed in, essentially seeming to confirm that he was solid in his commitment no matter what happened.

Moore responded, “June 18th…. it’s bigger than me!” June 18 was, of course, the day that Moore announced his commitment to Nebraska. The announcement was a very big deal to the young man because he was treating is a kind of homage to his brother Quentin. Quentin tragically passed away some years back.

Now it appears that while most of the state of Nebraska worries about what’s going to happen Saturday morning, Moore is just worried about keeping his promises. As of now, there has been not even been an announcement about when people can expect an announcement.

Various members of the media have started camping outside Memorial stadium expecting an impromptu press conference or a statement from the athletic department. Mike Riley has arrived at his place of employment and is his usual chipper self, despite the fact that most people are expecting him to lose his job today.

Bill Moos and some of the other assistants are there as well. When it comes to the Nebraska football team, there is a bit of a waiting game going on. When it comes to Joshua Moore, it appears we don’t need to wait to see what he will do, he’s sticking around.
