All of the football cliches are there for Burkhead. Lunchpail, workout warrior, tough between the tackles, you name it. While he was busy racking up 3,329 yards and 30 touchdowns as a Husker, Burkhead had just as much of an impact off the field.

Burkhead remains a fixture with the Team Jack organization today after being drafted in the sixth round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals, an organization he’s remained with to this day.

Look for the Bengals’ No. 33 to continue representing his alma mater and himself as well as he did once he stepped into the Nebraska football facilities out of Plano, Tex. for the very first time.
