Nebraska Basketball To Host Big Time Recruit On Big Recruiting Weekend
The Nebraska football team isn’t the only squad that is going to take advantage of its game against Oregon to try and draw in recruits.
It turns out the Nebraska basketball program is going to be going after one of its most sought after recruits on that weekend as well. Shooting guard Parker Stewart has announced his visit dates for a number of his favorite schools and the Huskers are set to host a visit with the young man on September 17.
At the moment the Nebraska basketball team is going to have the latest shot at impressing Stewart, as his other two visits are both scheduled before the Huskers. The Union City, Tennessee native has said he plans to visit Kansas State on the weekend of August 26th.
He will then visit Ole Miss from September 10-12. The next weekend he’ll be here in Lincoln. Being the third school on the list could be good news simply because it could make the visit stick out the most to him.
Tim Miles has to be happy Parker Stewart was willing to make the September 17 visit. The Nebraska football team has marked that weekend as a big one as far as recruiting goes. The team will be hosting a big name non-conference opponent in the form of the Oregon Ducks, so the campus should be abuzz.
It’s a safe bet at least part of his visit will include a stop at Memorial stadium. In the last few months, the Husker coaching staff has done a good job of letting commits recruit potential commits and there will certainly be some in town to help lure Stewart to the Cornhuskers.
