The Nebraska football team made the cut for yet another highly sought after defensive line recruit.

This time, the team made the top six list for Tennesee defensive tackle Ben Hutch. Hutch took to Twitter on Wednesday night in order to announce the final six schools he is looking at signing with next February.

Perhaps the most interesting twist in this recruit’s saga is that it turns out Hutch isn’t looking very far North when it comes to potential teams. Most of the teams on his list reside either in the SEC, or the SEC region.

Only Penn State and Nebraska are outside the region where his home state resides. One piece of good news is the fact that while Nebraska has been included in earlier lists, there has been some reshuffling for other schools. It might bode well for the Huskers they managed to continue to make the cut.

On the other hand, 247 Sports has reported the 3-star recruit has previously named Louisville the clubhouse leader. It looks like the other five schools on his list, which also includes Memphis, Texas A&M and Missouri with some work to do in order to take down the Cardinals.

On the other hand, the Nebraska football team hasn’t been in on Hutch all that long, only offering him in May. As we’ve seen with several other recruits, the longer someone like John Parella has to work on a recruit, the more they tend to like the program.

Making the top six would seem to indicate the Huskers have a very good shot at getting an official visit. It’s anybody’s game if Mike Riley and Parella can get Ben Hutch into Lincoln to get an up close and personal look at the Nebraska football Louisville might be the team doing the chasing when the smoke clears.
