While Patrick Queen has been a commit to the LSU Tigers since February, the 4-star athlete has been looking around at other schools lately.

Monday night on Twitter, Queen announced there were four schools he was going to be paying official visits to over the course of the summer and fall. LSU was obviously in the mix but another SEC school in Ole Miss has managed to get their foot in the door as well.

The other two schools Queen says he has interest in are Nebraska and it’s Big Ten rival Indiana. While the Livonia, Louisiana native has not decommitted from LSU, it’s pretty obvious to those on the outside looking in that he has all but completely reopened his recruiting at this point.

At the same time, it’s hard to get a grasp on just what the young man is thinking since he announced he would not be giving interviews at the same time he announced his four official visit targets.

Queen isn’t the only player committed to another school that has suddenly shown some serious interest in Nebraska. Missouri Commit Da’Ron Davis attended the most recent Friday Night Lights camp and seemed to actually be swayed towards the Huskers.

The saga of Patrick Queen has been an interesting one if only because he had seemed to be a very solid LSU Tigers commit up until the beginning of April. He took five official visits to Baton Rouge between October of last year and the end of March this year with his official commitment right sandwiched in the middle.

247Spors reports the Nebraska football team might have been one of the first to smell blood, as they offered him a scholly on April 5. On June 3, Ole Miss had Queen in for an unofficial visit and offered him a scholarship at the same time.

The athlete has not said when he plans to start taking his official visits or when he will be on campus at Nebraska. One can only hope he could be another recruit Mike Riley and company could get in for the Oregon or Fresno State game in order to get the other recruits working on him as well.
