The Nebraska football team has made the top seven teams for defensive line recruit Juan Harris.

Harris announced his decision on Twitter, listing out the seven schools he has narrowed his choice down to, without saying which school is currently his preference. Harris is just another of what has been a swath of defensive line recruits who seem to be responding quite positively to D-Line coach John Parrella.

The Huskers just recently got the commitment of one defensive end in the form of Robert Porcher IV but considering how few bodies they have on the defensive line, it’s a safe bet they’ll take a few more. The Nebraska football team would be even more open to more defensive line recruits if they’re built like Harris.

The Wisconsin native is not just tall at 6-3 but he’s also massive, weighing in at a reported 367 pounds according to Rivals. Even though the recruit has named the Huskers as one of his favorites, the school will still have its work cut out for it in order to land his services.

The top seven schools, in the order Harris listed them are Nebraska, Minnesota, Indiana, Illinois, Penn State, Louisville, and Michigan State. He had previously been committed to the Iowa Hawkeyes but decided that school wasn’t the place for him in the middle of last month.

There is one school that is oddly missing from this list in his home state Wisconsin Badgers. The Badgers have not given Harris an official offer yet this year. Considering the other schools looking at him, it appears Wisconsin is not looking for another defensive tackle in this class.

You might have noticed that Nebraska football is far from the only team in the Big Ten still pursuing the three-star recruit. In fact, you might have also noticed Louisville is the only team not in the B1G mentioned in his final schools.

Insiders seem to think Harris is leaning towards Minnesota but that should mean Nebraska has a pretty decent chance of getting him to look the Huskers’ way.
