3. Mikki Moore

Moore is one of those players who might surprise you simply because he never struck Nebraska basketball fans as very dominant. Despite his very average numbers for the Cornhuskers, he had one of the longest NBA careers of any NU player.

From 1993-1997, Moore posted solid, if not spectacular numbers for Nebraska, averaging 8.6 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Where the former Husker excelled was blocking shots, as his 2.1 per game career average indicates.

The 6-11 center and power forward became a Detroit Piston once he graduated college and thus began a career that spanned from 1998 all the way to 2012. While some might expect such a  long career to mean he was a star, Moore simply managed to turn his long body into one that teams were more than willing to have for depth.

Moore’s only season where he was a bonafide starter was the 2007-2008 campaign for the Sacramento Kings. That season, he started 79 of the 82 games he appeared in and average 8.5 points, 6 rebounds and nearly a block a game. His long career, more than his career numbers lands Moore as third on this list.
