When it comes to Nebraska basketball, there are simply too few players who went from the Huskers to the pros.

There are even fewer players that made it to the NBA and had what anyone could claim was a successful career. Whether it’s because the Cornhuskers have always had problems getting big time talent, or because the school has just been unlucky, you can count the players who have had big success on one hand.

That doesn’t mean the school is completely bereft of players who have made a career for themselves in the pros. In fact, when a Nebraska basketball player does end up making a name for himself in the NBA, they tend to have better careers than you might have thought.

For the most part, the players on this list have all attended the school in the last 20 years. That tells you something about what the talent level used to be for the Nebraska basketball team and the talent level that is going up.

Hopefully, this list is going to be growing in the next few years with people like Terran Petteway trying his best to make the league and current Huskers like Andrew White at least getting a chance to try out for the team.

Tim Miles is the guy who has been tasked with adding names to this list, but for now the list of these five players are the most successful former Nebrasketball players in school history who have actually managed to make it and succeed in the NBA.
