This is only a game on this list because of what happened a season ago. The loss to a bad Illinois team was likely the game that had quite a few Nebraska football fans climbing off the Mike Riley bandwagon.

The Huskers have dominated this series in the modern era by winning against the Illini by usually more than three touchdowns. If the Huskers can go back to their dominance of teams like Illinois, it’s going to go a long way towards 2016 being a very good season.
