5. at Northwestern (Sep 24)

Two teams who consider themselves the “Real NU” should have a good rivalry going and these two teams certainly fit that bill. Since the Nebraska football team joined the Big Ten, the Huskers and Wildcats have basically traded punches.

The Cornhuskers are 3-2 against the Wildcats and of those five games, only one contest has been decided by more than three points. Northwestern beat the Huskers by two points in Memorial stadium last year, one of several losses that would have made 2015 feel quite a bit different if the game had turned out different.

This is also the Nebraska football team’s conference opener. That means they need this win for pride and to get a jump on the Big Ten standings.
