3. Chris Jones (CB)

Much like Joshua Kalu, Chris Jones was among a group of defensive backs that were much maligned early in the season. Also like Kalu, Jones improved by leaps and bounds as the season went along.

Jones turned into one of those Cornhusker defenders that opposing offenses were actively throwing away from on offense. Much like Kalu, Jones going down to injury would be quite painful both for this season and as the defense tries to get stronger moving forward.
