10 Cornhuskers Nebraska Can Least Afford To Lose If They Want To Succeed

7. Jordan Westerkamp (WR)

The only reason Westerkamp isn’t higher on this list is that the Cornhuskers’ wide receiver corps is pretty deep. Depth notwithstanding, Jordan is one of the best receivers in the conference and probably in the country.

Last season, Westerkamp caught 65 passes for 918 yards and seven touchdowns. All of those marks led the team by a wide margin. If he has to miss significant time, it means a receiver that Tommy Armstrong trusts, and looks for often will be out of the offense.

Westerkamp is also good for a couple of circus catches a season that demoralizes the opponents and invigorates the Cornhuskers when they’re made.
