8. Sam Foltz (P)

Yes, both the Cornhuskers’ punter and kicker are on this list for good reason. When the offense stalls this season, and it will stall at some point, they are going to need Sam Foltz to boot one of his boomers to bail them out.

Foltz is another in a long line of punters for Nebraska, who make themselves weapons precisely because they have a great leg and seem able to aim their kicks more often than not. Foltz did miss some time last year, and while his backup performed admirably, it was obvious there was a drop off when he was out.

Considering the defense is going to be trying to figure out how to deal with several new players and a lack of depth, pinning the opponents deep in their end zone is going to be a must and Foltz is among the best in the business in turning around the field.
