9 De’Mornay Pierson-El (WR/PR)

Pierson-El suffered through a bit of a lost season in 2015, and his impact was missed both on the special teams and the offense. He started the year with a broken bone in his foot and just a few weeks after he returned to the Cornhuskers’ lineup, he tore his ACL celebrating a teammate’s touchdown.

The wide receiver and kick returner also sat out the spring game, but most people are expecting him to be back and be healthy for the fall. If he can stay healthy, he could be one heck of a weapon for the 2016 season. If he’s not healthy, the team can work around it, but the offense won’t be as explosive, and the special teams will be mediocre at best.
