If there is one thing that separates the professional football world, from the college football world, it is the indispensability of the team’s kicker. In the NFL, when a kicker goes down, there are dozens waiting for a phone call.

If the Huskers’ starting kicker in Drew Brown goes down, the team is going to have a hard time should they not score a touchdown. Brown struggled a bit at the beginning of the season, but he finished by hitting 21 of 27 field goals and 44 of 46 extra points.

Nebraska has a backup plan, but they’d rather not have to go that route.
