1. His Wide Receiver Corps

Even the best quarterbacks aren’t going to be able to put up great numbers if they don’t have great targets to throw to. Jordan Westerkamp is leading a group that has been called one of, if not the best receiver corps in the Big Ten as well as the country.

It’s not just the wide receivers that are going to be a big boon to Tommy Armstrong and his offense. Tight end Cethan Carter battled injuries to start the year but when he was healthy he was almost Rob Gronkowski like.

Carter, along with Westerkamp, Brandon Reilly, and Alonzo Moore as well as a hopefully healthy Demornay Pierson El is going to give Armstrong plenty of targets. If Tommy Armstrong can take advantage of those targets, a Heisman campaign isn’t out of the realm of possibility.
