3. His Offseason Throwing Program

While there are plenty of people who hear “offseason throwing program” and think of the lack of development of Taylor Martinez in the throwing game. Tommy Armstrong’s offseason work with a throwing coach this summer should have more of an impact because when he gets back to Nebraska, he’ll be in a situation Martinez never found himself.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers have a real quarterbacks coach in Danny Langsdorf as opposed to Tim Beck who was forced into that role by Bo Pelini. Beck had long been more comfortable and successful as a running backs coach.

It would make sense to think the man largely credited for turning Eli Manning around with the New York Giants, would to reinforce and improve on the things Armstrong is learning this summer with his personal coach. We could see quite the leap in understanding and execution.
