5. He’s Got A Cannon For An Arm

Tommy Armstrong has quite the cannon attached to his shoulder. The problem with his passing so far in his Nebraska football career has been a lack of touch, as well as some iffy decision making. While his cannon is part of the reason he’s gotten himself into trouble, if he’s able to take advantage of his arm strength he could put up some insane numbers.

Despite some troubles keeping his passes out of opponents’ hands, he has hit some long passes. There’s very little doubt he’s got the ability to rifle the football all over the field. He’s thrown 22 touchdown passes each of the last two seasons and his second year in the Mike Riley system should lead to more TDs.
