There aren’t a ton of former Nebraska Cornhuskers who are superstars in the NFL but there are a couple who are poised to break out in 2016.

This doesn’t mean the guys on this list have never been heard of, but it does mean they might be able to take the next step this season. For some, it means they’re going to build on what was a relatively strong 2015.

For other guys on this list, we’re talking about dudes who basically had a lost season a year ago and want to finally make their mark. One caveat to this list. You should not be looking for any rookie Huskers on this list.

Not even Andy Janovich has got a great shot at turning some heads his first year in the NFL. With a lot of luck, he just might make this list next year. Maliek Collins would have made this list, but he just suffered an injury that will likely derail his 2016 the way injuries derailed a lot of these guys’ 2015 year.

Without further ado, check out five former Nebraska Cornhuskers who are poised to break out this coming season.
