Jack Gangwish

3. Jack Gangwish – DE: Jack Gangwish and the defensive line have been hobbled by injuries all season long. However, they’ve probably been the best unit throughout the season.

Currently, Gangwish is fourth on the team with 1.5 sacks. Due to his personal injuries, Gangwish hasn’t been on the field in every game, but his impact has been felt. Now it’s time for him to get a couple of sacks at least.

As well as the Huskers have played defensively, the defense still couldn’t get the ball back in the final minutes of the game. At some point, the pass rush has to make a difference in the fourth quarter.

Overall, the Huskers have 17 sacks this season. Interestingly enough, Gangwish’s backup Freedom Akinmoladun leads the team with 4.5 sacks. The majority of those came when Gangwish was sidelined due to an elbow injury. Both players should be healthy and raring to go today.
