Nebraska Cornhuskers vs Wisconsin Badgers: Five Players to watch
De'Mornay Pierson-El
2. De’Mornay Pierson-El – WR/PR : Last week, De’Mornay Pierson-El got his feet wet against Illinois. Now Pierson-El has a chance to return to form in Nebraska’s biggest game of the season.
Pierson-El has big play ability, and he needs to show it against the Badgers. Coming into the game, he has one reception for six yards. Even though he wasn’t featured in the offense last week, the entire group of wide receivers didn’t play their best ball. It was almost like they were waiting for DPE to make a play. However, none of the receivers made plays all game. Therefore, they must step and play well collectively.
In addition to playing more wide receiver, Pierson-El should have a better time at punt returner on Saturday. The coaching staff tried to get him going early, but he muffed his first punt return of the year.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers can really use a big play in the kicking game, and Pierson-El will have a chance to make that play. Possibly, Pierson-El can change the entire course of the season with one play. Let’s see if that play comes on Saturday.
