5. Jack Gangwish -DE: Just when the Nebraska Cornhuskers defense was starting to regain some depth along the defensive line, they lost a couple more players this week.

Earlier in the season, Gangwish was ready for a stellar senior season, but it was derailed on the final play of the BYU game. After missing a few games, Gangwish returned to the lineup for the first Big Ten conference game. Instead of providing more depth, Gangwish will be back in the starting lineup, ready to cause havoc on the Joel Stave and the Wisconsin Badger offense.

Due to his limited action, Gangwish has posted modest stats in his final season. However, he’s due for a breakout game this weekend. So far, he was one sack and two tackles for loss.  Don’t be surprised if Gangwish adds to his sack total early. However, he’ll need plenty of help from the rest of the defensive line. Together, they have an opportunity to shut down the Wisconsin offense.

After last season, a dominant performance should be the only thing on Nebraska’s mind. They gave up 59 points last season’s match up, so the Blackshirts have plenty to prove on Saturday.

If Gangwish doesn’t harass the quarterback, it could become another long day for the Huskers. That proposition is nauseating to even think about.
