Senior and the UNDEFEATED Husker Robert Kokesh is the No. 1 seed at the 174 lb class and will head to the NCAA Championships slated to begin at 11 am, March 19-21st in St. Louis, Missouri. He is one of 9 Huskers who will be competing.
You will recall Kokesh won his second straight Big Ten Title (2014 & 2015) after having finished 3rd in 2012 and 2013. He finished his dual career at 60-4 and last was defeated in February of 2013. He will compete in bracket 107 with the winner advancing to bracket 229, and consolation wrestler in at bracket 107. Kokesh will compete against Taylor Messa from Michigan who has a record of 15-8.

At 125 lb class, Tim Lambert (25-10) will compete in bracket 26 in the morning against 2nd seed Nahshon Garrett from Cornell who has a 28-3 record. Winners will compete in bracket 188 and the loser moving to bracket 268.
Husker Eric Montoya at 133 lb class will compete in bracket 38 Thursday morning against 6th seed Earl Hall from ISU with a record of 25-6. Montoya ended the season at 18-13. Winners progress to bracket 197, the loser will compete in bracket 274 later that night.
At 141 lb class, 9th ranked Anthony Abidin will battle against Purdue’s Nick Lawrence (22-17) in bracket 45. Winner advances to bracket 198, and consolation goes to bracket 278. Abidin went 18-3 last season.
3-time All-American James Green is competing for the Big Red in the 157 lb. class and will face Markus Scheidel from Colorado who finished the year at 17-7. 4th ranked Green closed out his senior season at 30-4. He starts his day in bracket 82, with the winner advancing to bracket 216 and wrestleback is bracket 296.

Husker Austin Wilson at 165 weight class (16-14) will compete against the second ranked Michael Moreno from Iowa State, who comes in at a record of 22-3, in bracket 106. Winner advancesto bracket 228 and consolation in bracket 308.
The 184 pound class will feature Husker TJ Dudley competing against Ophir Bernstein (29-14) from Brown University in bracket 124. Winner advances to bracket 237 and consolation is in bracket 317.
At 197, 15th ranked Aaron Studebaker for the Huskers will meet up with West Virginia’s Jake Smith who was 23-9 this year. They compete in bracket 153 with the winner advancing to bracket 252 and wrestlebacks in bracket 332.

Husker Collin Jensen will compete in the heavyweight division and wrestle against Michigan’s Adam Coon who was 28-4. They start off in bracket 166 with the winner moving on to bracket 258 and consolation in bracket 338.
