“We had some shots in the last match that were the difference. The team realizes when they are in April, in order for them to get where they want to go, they need to hit the shots,” NU bowling assistant coach Paul Klempa said. “They are a good team, and I feel really confident they can build from this weekend.”

Top performer of the weekend for Nebraska was senior Liz Kuhlkin. She lead the team with a 213 game average and finished 10th in the individual standings. She was particularly amazing considering that she was battling strep throat. Other members of the squad were also under the weather. A good bowling performance indeed by the health-challenged No.1 ranked team.

Huskers go on the road next weekend to the Inaugural Hawk Flight Invite in Egg Harbor, N.J. The three-day event begins on Friday Feb. 20. Good Luck from Husker Nation!! Stay tuned for further updates and as always, GO BIG RED!!
