Nebraska is teaming up with the American Cancer Society to promote #AveryStrong Day and bone marrow awareness. You may recall hearing about Avery who was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 2, and is currently in remission after a 2nd bone marrow transplant in September. Avery is now 7. Some of the big names that will make appearances at the game are Husker Head Coach Mike Riley, Baseball Coach Darin Erstad and Athletic Director Shawn Eichorst.
For the first 1500 attendees there will be yellow #AveryStrong shirts to show support of the youngster is battled leukemia and is currently in remission.
