Around the Corn on Husker holiday Monday
By Kelli Anne
It’s MLK day and a lot of people have the day off. I’m hoping you are not in the office but our Husker Corner staff is working on stories for this week to keep you up on Husker sports news. In the meantime, this is some of the stuff out there on the internet.
Husker recruit Daishon Neal visited Oklahoma this past weekend. There is a flurry of activity with the younger guys taking their last trips. He was photographed last week with Husker coaches.
Christian Gaylord was visited by Coach Riley over the weekend to shore up his commitment to play at Offensive Tackle. He’s a pretty big kid!
Devine Ozigbo was interviewed for the Time Warner sports channel. In case you missed it, he will be playing at running back and committed 1/9/15.
Zaire Anderson played in the MFLPA Bowl over the weekend. We will be watching for him in the draft! 8 tackles in the game!
Still no word on the new WR coach. We’ll keep our eyes peeled for Coach Riley’s announcement. In the meantime Coach Philip is working on getting the Huskers into the swing of Winter conditioning.
It was warm enough last week for the Husker baseball team to practice outside in January. That never happens but it’s good news for the Huskers who are ranked #23rd in D1Baseball’s Top 25. Husker Women’s Softball just around the Corner too!
In other news to keep you smiling on a Monday….
In the meantime, GO BIG RED!!!
