Around the Corn: Husker tidbits you might have missed

In case you missed the news, Husker head coach Mike Riley picked up 2 more coaches. In charge of running backs is Reggie Davis who will leave the San Francisco 49er’s to come to town. Read up on him here. And what is reported as the new D Line and Co-Defensive coordinator spot will be filled by Hank Hughes. Read up on him here. That leaves the wide receiver spot as the remaining piece of the puzzle.

He also added some assistants to the list. Keaton Kristick and Todd McShane left Corvallis to come to Lincoln. That’s dedication. They’re on twitter at @Kkristick32  & @TheToddMcShane.

In case you’re wondering about Coach Ron Brown, so are we. We’ll let you know when we know something.

BIG RED shout out to two Husker stud wrestlers who took the #1 spot in the South Scuffle this past weekend. Robert Kokesh is still winning at the 174 lb division and James Green at the 157 lb division! Way to go guys!

The next Minnesota v Nebraska Husker game will be missing a key player for the Gophers. TE Maxx Williams won’t be playing. He had quite a bowl game.

There was a little recruit recruiting going on at the Semper Fidelis All-American bowl by Husker commit Eric Lee Jr. He tweeted out this little gem with Husker target Lavan Alston. To catch up on who was on the watch list for the Huskers at the game check out our list.

And a few feel good tweets around the corn:
