Around the Corn: Husker quickies

We will say goodbye to Randy Gregory as he is now preparing for the draft. Check out our story on his leaving and new Husker coach Danny Langsdorf as OC here. We also said goodbye to Bo Pelini this year but we don’t have to say goodbye to Faux Pelini thank goodness. In case you didn’t hear, he’s going to continue his Twitter parody account. He also won the 2014 Most Interesting Internet Person of the Year award.

If you need to see Kenny Bell play one more time before he enters the NFL he is playing in the Shrine Game on January 17th.

Ameer Abdullah won the Senior Class Award  and will be playing in the Reese’s Senior Bowl    He ended the bowl game with 269 all-purpose yards putting him in the top 10 all time among FBS players.

De’Mornay Pierson-El finished the games with an NU record 8 catches in a bowl game. He’s going to be great for the Huskers! Tommy Armstrong Jr. also set an NU bowl game record for passing yards surpassing Joe Ganz’s record in 2009 Gator Bowl. Here’s a couple of more quick hits from Twitter and the Huskers:

Matt Snyder, a 6′ 5″ Tight end has de-committed from OSU and is committed to  NU now. Should be an interesting add to Reilly.

And some other noteworthy Tweets…

From us at Husker Corner, have a very safe and HAPPY NEW YEAR and GO BIG RED!!
