Husker football is done. Time to kick back and unwind with the rest of the field. If you’re still in the mood for the last bits of College Football, here are the games on tap this week up until the playoffs. All game times in the guide are CDT.

Autozone Liberty Bowl will match up Texas A&M Aggies against West Virginia Mountaineers, Monday. Dec. 29th at 1:oo CDT on ESPN. Aggies need to find a way to not turnover the ball and put a stop in the leak of their defense. With the recent news of QB Trent Crickett retiring from football due to multiple concussions, I’ll be looking for the Aggies to capitalize. Vegas currently has Mountaineers by 3.5 but this may shift with the QB news coming out on Friday.

Russell Athletic Bowl begs for the ad “if you can’t be an athlete, be an athletic supporter.”(Yeah, I couldn’t resist)  This game puts the Sooners up against the Clemson Tigers on Dec. 29th. Game is at 4:30 on ESPN. Sooners are still stinging from the OK St loss but I’m sure that provided some motivation. Stoops has a good offense but the Tigers come into the game peaking at the right time with their offense producing big time. This is going to be a good game and worth the time but I’m thinking Clemson pulls away with the win despite Vegas picking Oklahoma by 3.

AdvoCare V100 Texas Bowl pits the Arkansas Razorback Hogs against the Texas Longhorns. I think of it as a peculiar brand of torture to a Husker fan to have to watch this one but it’s on ESPN at 8:00 pm so maybe going to movies is a better idea. Even though the Hogs finally won a couple of SEC games I don’t think their running game will do well against the Longhorns. Coach Strong has had his battles with his own offense and their defense will end up getting pretty tired by the end of the game in that cumulative effect.  Vegas has the Hogs by 7. If I have to pick a team I’d agree with Vegas. (As a Husker fan, it’s a shame they both can’t lose)

Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl (whew that’s a lot of words) is putting the Notre Dame Fighting Irish against the LSU Tigers Dec. 30th at 2 pm on ESPN. The tailgating for this game should be EPIC with these fan bases. LSU had their struggles at QB and are probably the only fan base to hammer on their team like the Huskers fans. That being said I’m putting my money on freshman Leonard Fournette as he just finds a way to make plays. Notre Dame is going to be tough but they barely got by Navy and seem to be on the downswing. Vegas is behind the Tigers by 7.5 and so am I!  GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Belk Bowl is the all red game putting Georgia Bulldogs against the Louisville Cardinals Dec. 30 at 5:30 pm on ESPN. Cardinals have a good run defense but they haven’t seen a team like Georgia. Bulldogs are going to take them to the woodshed as the healthier team and will drop a lot of yardage on the board. Vegas has Goergia by 6.5 but I’m thinking they win bigger.

Foster Farms Bowl matches up the Maryland Terrapins against the Stanford Cardinal or what I call the turtle and the tree. This game is on Dec. 30 at 9pm on ESPN. Stanford is riding a high after upsetting UCLA. MD in its B1G Ten debut season ended up higher than Penn St. They pass which is good against the Stanford defense. Stanford wins but not by the big margin Vegas is listing at 14.
